About me and who I'm looking for

About me:: I was recently ask "who am I?" So I will answer and allow everyone to decide for themselves.

I Believe in God and that the scriptures are inspired by God. I do my best to try to follow Bible principles and read my bible(usually) on a daily basis. I do this in order to get the meaning of the scripture and not to just remember certain scriptures. I by no means see myself as a saint. I have my set of standard that I have found in the Bible and those create the plane in which I determine my involvement with others. I do not feel I am above anyone however, I do believe other may prove themselves to be beneath the standard of which I strive to maintain. I do not condem them; I only choose not to associate with them.

That being said I will continue with some more personal aspects of who I am. I am a kind person and tend to act out of motivation to help others. This is a lot of times what others see and generally are drawn toward me as a friend. Now that is how I interact with others. I for the most part however,due to years of being on my own, tend to be self-absorbed. This has become more apperent to me in recent years as I have found it rather difficult for me to co-exist with others no matter what the relationship. I hide my irritaion on the outside but, inwardly I stew over the smallest invasions of my order(i.e. if I put it there, leave it there).

I tend to be negative as far as life and the world. I do realize this is a sad issue that needs to be addressed and I am working on that. I hope to, some day, stop seeing the world through cynical eyes.

I have had several relationship in the past that have sprung from, for the most part, my drinking. A night of fun turning into feelings of guilt that have resulted in relationships. As I think back on these relationships, had I been sober, I would have not dated most of them.

CONTINUED INTO THE SECTION I DON'T NEED
I'm looking for:: I have quit drinking(for the second time)and hope that through carefull consideration and reflection that I will not start again. As I have already stated my will power is very low and I get bored easily.

Trying to keep with my Bible principals I do not believe in sex before marriage(past offense not withstanding). I do see dating as a way to get to know someone in order to make a decission on future marital options.

I don't believe in violence. I can hold my own if it ever came to it but, I perfer it does not come to that. Avoiding areas or places that promote violence or have a higher chance of fostering a violent episode I have found to be the best strategy(no I wont sit in the bar and drink coffee; I find people in general tend to focus on the sober cowboy).

I do not believe in any holidays. Please just don't go there.

I don't believe that two people of vastly opposite opinions can co-exist. Please don't go there.

I will discuss anything openly. This is with the intent to understand someone elses point of view not to have mine altered. if discussion errupts into arguement or debate I will simple discontinue the discussion. I am not here to change your opinion.

The truth be told I am here simply because I am bored. I use the forums and possibly other correspondence to socialize with others. If a friendship developes then so be it...again I am not looking to date.

Oh...Ya...I love music.
