About me:

My friends love my sense of humor and my ability to meet life head-on. I enjoy new challenges and like to learn everything I can about whatever interests me. I went to nursing school when I was 57 and my first novel was published when I was 61. I live alone in a little house with a cow dog who sort of came with the lease. I work nights, sleep days and am off work on Fri/Sat, as well as on Sun. until I go to work that night. I stay out of my childrens' lives, though I love them dearly and am very proud of them. I am mostly conservative on political issues. I feel that I'm very spiritual but I gave up organized religion a long time ago. I would rather know the truth than be deceived and find out later. I love books, music, movies, concerts, history and genealogy. I spend quite a bit of time writing, as I'm working on my second novel. I am recently out of a three-year relationship that left me feeling discouraged for a while. I gained some weight as a result, but I joined Weight Watchers and it's coming off (and we won't be seeing it again). I can't wait to see what each day reveals. Life is an exciting journey.

My match is intelligent, funny, spiritual, patient, loving, well-read, and most of all honest. Conservative political views would be nice, but we don't have to agree on everything. My match isn't domineering, though I'm not a woman who fights for control of a relationship. I like a man who can handle problems without losing his temper, someone who knows that "stuff" happens and it just has to be dealt with.
