About me:

I was born in India. I am an American citizen. I am now living in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. It's a paradise, and I am working as a professor of economics, at an American-style university, where I have not had to change my teaching style. For, teaching economics at universities in the USA is all I have done in my entire career. In 3 years, I will return permanently to the States, but in the meantime, I intend to travel around in the neighboring countries, especially during the 4-month long Summer holidays.

I am non-religious, but respect others' right to practice whatever they wish, as long as it is not imposed on me. I can speak English, Hindi and Urdu, but read and write only in the English language now. The only thing I am intolerant of is intolerance itself.

I am fun to be with, open, caring, intelligent, generous, creative, passionate, sensitive, dependable and independent, content with my appearance, non-materialistic (Nish-Kam Karm is my motto) and with a sometimes witty or naughty sense of humor.

I like walks on the beach, in the woods and through the city. I like crackling fires, listening to rain and thunder roll through the night, with a great glass of red wine. I like the smell of cedar & pine pitch. I enjoy all kinds of cuisine, and the hotter the better! I love taking drives to no-where-in-particular! I like sitting in a hammock in the summer, reading or listening to summer lawns hiss. I love learning and am curious. If there is something I do not know, I shall go tearing after it.

My father is not alive. My mother lives in Delhi with my sister and her two young sons, My brother is a Canadian citizen, and lives there with his wife and two children. My brother is my youngest sibling. I have a 22-year old daughter in college in the United States. She is a very important person in my life.

I'm looking for:

I enjoy a woman with wisdom, humor, insight, honesty, kindness: upscale, relaxed. I like a shower in a nice hotel - after a long day of site seeing! Staying in, cuddling, and taking in a movie. Quite equally, I like to dress up and go out with my date, especially when she is in a black cocktail dress; I easily dress down in jeans too.

I am seeking a nurturing & stimulating partner, friend & lover, for a relationship that has a long-term future, as in a committed relationship culminating in marriage, based on trust, honesty, undying loyalty, complete faithfulness - mental, emotional and physical - and an enormous desire to be with each other. As long as it is an open-minded, articulate, good-looking woman who likes me for who I am, and recognizes that reasonable people can disagree and yet remain friends with mutual respect, the issues of religion, color, age, height, etc. are no constraints for me. In the 21st Century, even significant distances do not constitute a constraint. They can be bridged over time.

It is not my prerogative to place any restriction whatsoever on my partner's desire to have a child. That is the meaning of being "Not Sure" about wanting kids.

I am only looking for a serious, real relationship, not for a virtual relationship that consists of an endless exchange of emails or chats, lasting for months - for me that would be a waste of time. Moreover, it is only by meeting face-to-face that two people really get to know each other to find out if we are a good match.
