A few things: First, I should admit it, I suck, but I try not to and to do so without trying. Second, I'm not really 38, but that's a procedural thing, not a vanity thing, because I've at least tried to evolve past vanity. Happy to explain upon request. I don't like "the beach," and I am enraptured by rainy days. I cook most of the food I consume, grow some of it, and make dishes that will kick your ass. I am a leftist. I can back up why I am thus with a rudimentary, sometimes detailed knowledge of the elemental movements of mankind since it first swung down from the trees. I am at my most ambitious a guerrilla in a revolution of common sense that began when monkeymen first figured out they could each kill a deer and live another week or they could all surround a mastodon and live through the winter. I consider dogma anathema to society. I don't know what the "games" are that people here are sick of playing, but the meme has become tiresome. Is it like Hungry Hungry Hippos? Or is it that you're measuring people by some asstarded set of expectations you've gleaned from romantic comedies? I can't be the first one to point out that romantic comedies aren't fucking funny, which means you've been the victim of fraud. I have made seven records. I put words together for something approximating a "living." I swear a LOT. I lived in New York most my adult life. Ayn Rand can blow me in Macy's window. I like Coen brothers movies and food of such spice that leaves me sweating. I can hit college-range three-pointers fairly consistently and have been known to bowl on occasion. I miss Jewish girls. I am a self-educated minor scholar of film noir. I would like to be surprised again someday, by someone.

My ideal match? For real? IDEAL? Okay, let's shoot the moon: a short-black-haired, dark-skinned woman of Jewish, Greek, Persian or Southern Italian extraction with leftist political proclivities stemming from, say, a graduate degree in political science with concentrations in social economics and revolutionary theory, measurements 36-26-38, with pronounced tummy parentheses and a self-aware sense of her own fetishes and sexuality, and who also has a rudimentary sense of eastern philosophy such that she has at least an inkling that the Self is illusory and regressive and jealousy is petty and toxic, and that true, joyous freedom exists in casting off the claustrophobic walls of propriety and self-glorification in favor of a receptivity to experience, to ideas and to the elemental notion that there are many paths to Truth.

Oh, well, aside from that, I wouldn't mind meeting someone with an appreciation of a cool night of booze and conversation, maybe even heated argument; with a sense of both humor and their own sensuality; who can communicate above and beyond monosyllables, spell second-person singular "you," not "u," and does not use apostrophes to denote plurality; who IS NOT A REPUBLICAN, OBJECTIVIST OR EVANGELICAL. I cannot capitalize that capital-y enough. Oh, and somebody not looking for anyone to "complete" you. Because, Jesus Christ, that movie just sucked. And I don't have time to do that kind of maintenance. And, frankly, that's your fucking job.
