About me:

It’s time to slow down, pick up the guitar or the fishing rod, and take it easy. If you're looking to go 100% of the time, keep looking. I was raised "Old South", and I'm very proud of that fact. I AM the old fashioned Southern Gentleman you've heard about, but didn't believe still existed. If you don't mind, "old times, they aren't forgotten" then we might have something in common. I have done a bit of War Between The States reenacting, and would like to get back into it in the near future. Did I mention the strong conservative politics? It DOES make a difference for each of us, as I've seen firsthand what happens to the social and moral fabric of a country at war. I don't want that to happen here for my children, or anyone else's.

I spent the better part of the last 20 years in a daily drama. Drama works in the theater, but not in the home, so my drama threshold is very low.

Besides being the insurance expert and electronics guru, I am also an author, developer and webmaster for a faith-based stop smoking website that has reached out to people in over 80 countries world-wide, and is still going strong after almost 10 years. However, I could not have quit myself, or have reached out to help others, without His direction, and I acknowledge Him in all things.

Having grown up (literally) in a photography studio, I'm now getting back to shooting, using digital SLR photography (all of my old Nikon lens work on my new Nikon digital - YEA!)...but, I promise not to bore (completely) with inane PowerPoint slide shows!

I'm looking for:

My ideal match must have a good sense of humor, enjoy both indoors and outdoors activities, enjoy Southern cooking (helps tremendously if she can also cook it as well as can I), and must love music (most any kind) and dogs (the last one sounds kinda "chicky").
