About me: I am a pretty straight forward guy.... but I am sure everybody probably says that too. I have been a high school English teacher for seven years, and have recently returned to the Valley to work on my PhD in Literature. While a teacher I was also the Speech and Debate coach... so I hope you like to talk... hehe.
My interests are pretty eclectic... I love mountain biking, dog sledding, reading, movies, conversations over coffee and wine (not together of course :)), Arizona music (Stephen Ashbrook and Roger Clyne), concerts, book stores, writing (both poetry and prose), meeting new people.... you get the idea.
I raise, train, and compete with my registered AKC Alaskan Malamutes, so dog lovers are welcome. I have a saying... picked it up somewhere... that the more people I meet, the more I love my dogs.... and that is certainly true. Not to be too cynical, but dogs are everything we as people aspire to be and they don't have to try so hard - and don't fail so often.
The online dating thing is a bit weird for me, tried it once, crashed and burned.... but this site was pretty cool in terms of the way it was set up, so I figured what the heck.... let's see what happens.
I want somebody to grow closer to... if that goes in interesting fun directions - then so be it. I am not completely set on wanting a hard fast "relationship" right away. I think things take time, and time is a good thing. I want to meet new people, hang out with new friends, and let time follow its course.
So for now.... I am just a Shakespeare loving, mountain biking, writing, dog mushing, movie watching, concert attending, fun loving intellectual type who likes to do fun things with fun people.... if that sounds interesting.... write me.
