About me:

Love video games. Mainly RPGs, Final Fantasy being the main focus of attention.

Anime. I don't actually like a huge range of different shows but the ones I do like I get really into.

I like to read. Fantasy novels and to a lesser extent Sci-fi, and also non-fiction about any subject I’m interested in. I love science, particularly cosmology and find philosophy very interesting. I love art and writing and they’re both my potential choices for a career, though I’m very critical and perfectionist about my work.
Mainly liberal politically. I’m pro-abortion, GBLT rights, and believe religion should keep its nose out of the law. I think statutory rape (no I don’t mean paedophiles, I mean consenting 15 year olds getting their boyfriends sent to jail.) is ridiculous, and a lot of other issues I could rant about for some time but don’t have room for here...

I love music, and teach myself piano, though I don’t think I’m any good.

I write too, but the less said about that the better.
Rarely drink, never get drunk. No smoking/drugs.
Extremely introverted. Loner with no friends. Happy hermit = me. Not minding being alone is not an inherently negative trait and it doesn't mean the individual must be inherently miserable either.

I do not want children or want a relationship with someone has kids. No telling me I’m going to change my mind please; I've heard all the preaching. This is not 'I'm not ready for them now', this is 'not ever'. I also don’t believe in marriage. Monogamy and commitment, but not marriage. If your message goes anything like this: 'if you ever want to meet a nice guy around here i would strongly suggest you change ur profile i think its a we bit over the top dont you think' Don't bother sending it.

Non or rare drinker. Not someone who gets drunk.

Like long hair, but not mandatory. Socially liberal. Preferably introverted.

I’m not ageist. I don't like it when I see narrow age ranges. Interesting how people who claim not to want people my age keep looking at my profile. No IMs or flowers please (a test to see who reads or not). It's not too much to ask to expect someone actually reads my profile & makes an attempt at conversation. Use real English. I mean stuff like 'hw r u'. Insulting me and making ad hominem arguments against things I say here aren't good ways to make me talk to you.

I don't go around attacking other people's chosen lifestyles and preferences even if I find them personally unappealing. People who meet these (allegedly) 'high standards' *do* exist, people act like they're strange, outlandish requests that could never occur in reality. Also, don't bother with snarky messages under the guise of 'advice'. I learned long ago not to bother with pointless internet arguments with self-righteous know-it-alls; you will be ignored.

Don't bother if you 'normalise' yourself/omit potentially important beliefs/wants or needs in your profile for fear of scaring people off. It implies desperation and that you'll go for anyone halfway decent that will have you, not that you're looking for someone truly compatible. I'm not here to get just anyone or interested in someone who only wants that. I'm here because I can't find anyone like-minded in everyday life and so am looking further. Having a generic, 'safe' profile that sounds like 1000 other profiles is not going to achieve that. I'm picky, not desperate. I have no interest in succumbing to mindless drunk lemming culture just so I can 'get' someone.

Also if you want to have a debate, try actually reading what you're arguing with first, instead of what you *think* you saw.
