Greetings. Before I get to my self-obsessed description, please note that I am a single parent with 2 young boys living with me full-time. Now first off, I find maintaining a balance between physical and mental activities to be extremely important. As often as I am in vigorous motion, I'm reading, studying or composing

I'd like to think that my life is artful, but simple. I'd rather build something than buy it and I hold things that are disposable in disdain. I do, however, appreciate the proper gear required for arduous expeditions and other forays. As far as my match goes, you're fine with me so long as you resonate with the thoughts above. Of course, I'd love to find someone that shares my passion for touring for miles and then slogging through 1000 vertical feet of waist-deep snow to get to a chute. But a gal who could meet up with me in the hot springs after a day anywhere on the mountain earns my everlasting affection as well.

My current martial arts practice consists almost solely of Tai Chi after having studied Karate for 15 years. I also have a strong desire to explore Aikido, which I've only just begun to satisfy. Every decade or so, I make an extended visit to a Zen monastery. I would guess that sharing a retreat to Tassajara or some other center would probably cement a relationship once it got started. I consider the entire human body sacrosanct. My devotion to sexuality is rooted in the yogic principles of tension and release that are also essential parts of my regular practice. If you cannot imagine ever spending 30 minutes or so in silent meditation before engaging in relations then we are probably not a good match.

From the harsh realities of preparing descent after bagging a snow-covered Colorado 14er to the intimate nuances of sharing a carefully prepared dish, life functions for me as an experience to be enjoyed and savored. I'd love to meet you if you have a similar approach.

Please be honest, warm, caring and supercharged. Simple, right? A wholesome sense of humor doesn't hurt either. Some of the most passionate romances I've ever had began by barely brushing fingertips at the end of a date. But honestly, my first dates have run the entire gamut. My preference is for a first date to last as long as possible regardless of the activity involved.

Sometimes I like it loud (Sonic Youth at CBGB) and sometimes I like it silent (walking in the woods at sunrise). An ability to tenderly express empathy in the most vulgar of terms may be useful as the tidbits of our histories surface. If you can signal that you like to maintain a deeply based set of character traits by occasionally voyaging into the unknown with a bare regard for creature comforts, we're off to the stars together.
