Depending on what you see me engaged in, it's hard to tell what I'm like. On the one hand, I'm extremely intellectual and thrive on intelligent discourse. On the other hand, I'm a clown. So, in one minute you might hear me declare some metaphysical assessment of our condition and, in the next minute, see me putting on a puppet show with my dinner. Or you might see me do something that would just be considered odd. I like smart people, and I like to make people laugh. Actually, I like to make most people laugh, but I feel no remorse when I make the despicably conceited self-righteous cry. I guess you just have to get to know me; then, you can write your own summary of me. The biography tends to be more objective than the auto-biography, no matter how much the subject agrees with it.

By the way, I am from the East Coast and bring those manners with me. Too abrupt for some. Other transcontinental immigrants hold a special attraction for me, but locals made of tougher stuff should likely bear me well.

Like so many others, I believe I'll know "the One" when I meet her, but I can say that I'm looking for someone who can become emotionally involved with someone without becoming emotionally dependent. Someone who has enough of a sense of humor to appreciate being silly without succumbing to stupidity. I also appreciate someone who will stand her ground in debate without being mule-headed against concession. You do know that an argument is an exchange of convictions and is not a fight, right?
