About me:

Hello, my name is Maria. I was born in the Philippines, my parents, my sister, brother and I all immigrated in the states when I was 12 years old. We arrived in 1972 and lived in the Los Angeles area for about 30 years. Moved here in Washington in 2003. I like down to earth and easy to talk to people. What matters to me is a person's heart, honesty, integrity and sense of humor. A little about my life before connecting singles: when I was 8 months old I was hit by the polio virus suffice it to say I have live with polio all my life, in spite of that I was able to go to school, enjoy life and work until 2003. Working full time as an accountant was getting harder due to post polio syndrome. My doctor and I decided that I have to take it easy so I retired with permanent disability in 2003. I still try to enjoy life my way. I decided to move to Washington (both siblings lives here) and visit Los Angeles at least once a year. Family, friends and my faith are all important to me. I've learned later in life that material things don’t make you happy, plus with the downturn in the economy even the Joneses can’t keep up with the Joneses. I like the simple and meaningful moments in life. Memories you remember, things gets obsolete.

I always reply to people who write personal e-mails. I personally think that If you want to meet new people at least try to make a good first impression. I hope that what I have shared touched a part of your soul that is seeking a mate. (How is that for a play with words, haha.)
