About me: Most, it seems, try to attract. I will do the reverse. If someone is not put off, maybe that's who I want to meet. I have wasted... how many years, on the wrong ones...
I'm an enigma - intelligent, sensitive, kind, honest and true but life has made me paranoid... or, is that realistic? Maybe I think too much.
For example, happiness. Happiness is one extreme of "an internal pendulum." The other end is sadness. Were there no darkness, there would be no light; no hot, no cold; no bondage, no freedom - etc. Sadness defines happiness. If you are never sad you can never be happy. So very simple, yet people are so foolish as to seek happiness; to believe it is POSSIBLE to be always happy. Nobody thinks...
I'm not lookin' for a magic mamma to wave her wand and make my world into a paradise. THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN! I'm not looking for a puppy. I expect you to have good sense and reasonable expectations; the courage to face life for what it is, as opposed to living in some fantasy.
People are not in control - they do not act rationally. When you allow the wind to blow you around, be prepared to encounter immobile objects! Might be better to look, before you leap. I fully intend to do that BUT it seems women do not support it. If I fail to jump on cue they are mortally wounded... I am determined to make my choice of a mate with my mind, as that is the only part of me that can think and the other parts just get me into trouble.
I dream of someone who will quietly fall in by my side - not lagging behind or running way out ahead - by my side, and just walk with me for a while. Someone who has no USE for me (I don't LIKE being used). Someone who does not want to trade, but to share. Someone who is not for sale. Someone, into whose eyes I might gaze and lose fifteen minutes, off my watch...
So, here's your description: I'm a guy who sets improbable goals and sometimes achieves them .) The shady, the tawdry, the sleazy, the amoral and the common need not apply!
I'm looking for: One word: LADY
A gentleman, a LADY. Not a snake, a wench, a harlot and/or a liar. A LADY. Someone who values and respects her SELF. Someone kind, gentle, funny; someone loving and nurturing... some who is FEMALE, for God's sake! Someone with some morals and that values those morals, more than a dollar bill.
Someone intelligent, but not conceited. Someone who already knows that there is no truth, only perception; someone who understands that there is only one absolute (I AM) and, after that, everything is debatable; someone with whom I can converse, without having to roll my eyes to the ceiling; someone who has thrown off the programming we all get (I PLEDGE ALIEGENCE, TO THE WALL); someone whose neck, is not red; someone who is never found, in a bar.
Someone, like myself, who does not run with the herd but plots her own course, instead.
