About me and who I'm looking for

About me:

Am a published novelist who writes full-time. I am not well off, rent my house and would be free to live where I choose and go where I please. I do however, still have ambition in my chosen profession, which I only came to late in life; and hope to achieve recognition and reward in the not too distant future. I Have old-fashioned views and standards but am a liberal thinker who prefers smart, casual dress and and intelligent company. I am I guess, a romantic, and like to laugh and get to know real people of similar inclination; but am no longer tolerant of the self-interested, narrow minded and ignorant. I try to keep fit without being obsessed by it and would like to take up walking - but for enjoyment and relaxation rather than seriously. I love the countryside and the few remaining places that are still relatively unspoilt. Old traditions, religions and folklore interest me. And I would also like to travel more, live abroad even, with the person I love. I am English and no longer live in Ireland, where my forebears came from, but between Preston and Blackpool in the North West of England.

I'm looking for:

Preferably of medium build or slimmer, with nice hair, teeth and a ready smile. A good figure is important, and at least a modest education and an appreciation of the finer things in life. Someone who is sociable and open minded with a forward-looking, outward-going personality. She will be reasonably fit, self-confident and fairly self sufficient: someone who has managed to come through life relatively undamaged, physically and emotionally; and is still looking for fresh fields, new horizons and things to learn together. Maybe creative, new age inclined.
I am seeking someone for herself, not an extended family; to be with in the company of others of our own age, lifestyle and inclination - but together. Someone who is independent, happy but lonely, because life is for sharing. Perhaps a little unconventional. Marriage isn't essential but commitment, fidelity and laughter are.
