About me and who I'm looking for

About me:: Who am I? That is a question I have pondered often throughout my life. I am a sister, a mother, a friend, a teacher. I am a fan of Titans football and college hoops. I love music and often go around singing whatever song pops into my head. I like to watch movies and television. I really don't have any genre types that are favorites, but horror is low on my life of "got-to-sees". I love to read and consider my books as some of my best friends. They transport me instantly away from mundane life and into other places. I also enjoy writing my own little stories. I love sunsets, especially over the ocean or a lake. I enjoy going off to the mountains. I think the beauty around us, in nature, should be enjoyed and treasured. I love my children and my family. I think family is the support that makes most people strong enough to face what life holds for us. I value my family for being here for me when I need them and enjoy spending time with them. I also consider my dogs part of my family.

I'm looking for:: I am looking for a friend to date and spend time with. He should be kind and compassionate. He should enjoy some of the same things I do. I enjoy being around people with a good sense of humor, as long as it is not at the expense of others. Looks are not that important to me, but he should "clean-up well" for nights out. It really isn't important what type of work he is in. I am not looking for someone to support me, and I am not intending to support anyone else.
He should not smoke. Social drinking is fine, or a glass of wine with dinner.
I prefer someone who is down to earth, that doesn't look down on other people who are less fortunate. I have worked with the handicapped and joking about disabilities is completely "wrong" in my eyes.
