Just Me!

About me:: I've been a member of civic and fraternal orgs for decades, and now I don't have the "Rah-Rah" of the effort or the come-back of "we'll do better next time." I remain active and I appreciate time for board games on & off the computer. Plan to return to river-bank fishing. Love TV & at the game football. Dancing is fun still, but w/o a regular partner, its difficult to avoid embarassment. Teaching at the local HBCU is revealing and challenging, but I enjoy it. Participating in civic and fraternal orgs is becoming "old hat" and not as satisfying as it once was. My son, 43-single-no kids; dgtr #1,an elem sch tchr, sons 14 yrs & 14 mos; dgtr #2, a business analyst,15 yr old son. A like-minded companion should encourage an interesting life. I'm thinking of doing some writing???
I'm looking for:: Conversation w/o gossip! One seeking the passive pleasures of life. One of positive will and an eye for adventure. A smile that hurts, but only when it brings tears of joy to your eyes. A pleasant, but strong will is encouraged, but respect for others and their right to their opinions is a mandate.
