About me and who I'm looking for

About me:: PLEASE NOTE: As it's getting towards the 'business end' of the year, I may not be on this site so frequently. However, if you do send me any kind of correspondence, I will reply to you as soon as is viable. (I know how ill-mannered it is when someone does not respond to you. I have a quirky sense of humour and are a little bit eccentric; am strong willed & can be opinionated; & do like to take people by surprise! I like a lot of different sports, & are a big fan of basketball (NBL-Australian). I love reading books & comics (though, getting time for this is hard). I love a wide variety of movies, aswell as music of all types, especially 60's-80's. I'm a huge "Star Wars" fan, as can be ascertained by my headline! I am looking for a relationship that could eventually lead to marriage & having a family. (I'm NOT 'easy' so if that's all you want; like the Mos Eisley Sandtrooper says: "Move along"). Though I am not against gaining new friendships either. I am pretty easy-going, & are NOT clingy. I am not like other girls, I don't like flowers, expensive restaurants & walks along the beach (you just end up with sand in your shoes); & I like to do my own thing every now & then. I work long, long hours & have alot of family commitments, so weekends are my only free time.
I'm looking for:: I am seeking a geniune guy (if such exists outside of fiction!), who is pretty quick-witted, with a good sense of humour & intelligence. Is a fanboy, or at least doesn't look down on comic books, & doesn't mind watching "Star Wars" (especially "Empire Strikes Back"!). I'd prefer a non-smoker, average type build; & someone who can understand that I have other commitments I must attend to, including work. A guy who can be optimistic to balance out my pessimism. Someone who is not put off by my sometimes 'take the lead' attitude, & often outspoken views.
