About me: Up until March I was an Army officer; now I'm back in the States. I live about 10 minutes from Cocoa Beach. I've never been married and have no children (that I know of). By education I am an engineer and chemist, by propensity a poet and writer. I'm always looking for new adventures and enjoy sailing, mountain climbing, spelunking and scuba diving (or combinations thereof). I can be quite charming and flirtatious & make friends easily. I am generally playful (except at work, where I have to pretend to be serious). I'm a hopeless romantic and very tactile. I have a scientific bent and explore everything that piques my curiosity. This can be especially disconcerting for significant others in malls: "Where did he go? He was here just a minute ago!" -- Yep, I was right by your side - until I came screeching to a halt in front of Hammacher Schlemmer - you probably didn't even miss me until you were half way to J.C. Penney. It's congenital - my father does the same thing. Mom actually used to make him carry a walkie-talkie when they went shopping (it was that, she said, or she was going to buy him one of those dog leashes they make for toddlers. Now they have their own cell phones). But then I'll do sweet little things like hide love notes in your purse or write you a poem, and suddenly you've forgotten all about the 3 hours you spent looking for me. Isn't love grand? All that being said, still interested?
I'm looking for: I'm looking for my copilot: sophisticated (yet unpretentious), romantic, a great conversationalist, has an adventurous spirit and a predilection for arts and literature. I generally gravitate to women with GREAT legs (a flaw in my character, but one that I've learned to live with). She loves the water, fine dining, theater, travel... and she won't hesitate to jump in the plane with me on weekends just to see where we end up. Acrophobiacs need not apply.
