About me: Mum to one 6yr old boy, who is the centre of my world. However, it would be wonderful to find and invite someone special to share in our laughter and journey in this fabulous life. (I'm a 'glass near full' type of person !!)
My own personal interests include reading; biographies(of people with a 'real' story to tell!), National Geographic, philosophy, psychology, and surreal ironic humour. Don't watch much TV. Play netball and racketball when I can (NOT seriously), and love cycling, used to sail quite a bit, and will fly in anything. I love to cook for friends, though have little opportunity these days. Enjoy stimulating conversation and laughter, and try hard not to get completely disillusioned at the mahem and insanity in the world. I suppose I would describe myself as creative (an artist to 'trade') and resourceful, contemplative and compassionate, and try every day to practise loving kindness, find joy and gratitude, and something to laugh about! Obviously I have NO 'perfections', but try to be conscious of the imperfections that obstruct me being the person I really want to be. (i.e. not quite an Elle McPherson lookalike!)
People have often asked why I've never married, and I used to believe it was because I never NEEDED to. Which in part is true as women today are 'allowed' independance and freedom if they choose it. But I believe more now that I've just never made a connection with a man in which I could retain my own personality and identity. Now as a more 'mature' version of myself, fullfilled in my life, capable and responsible for creating my own happiness and peace of mind, I hope now to connect with a good man who is as sure of himself and as happy in his own life. Only then can the connection become a bonus, as we would add to each others 'selves' rather than take away from the other. - I suspect I'm rambling now, so will close here. Be kind, - be happy x
