Up Movie (2009)
Seventy-eight year old Carl Fredricksen travels to Paradise Falls in his home equipped with balloons, inadvertently taking a young stowaway.
Carl Fredricksen as a boy wanted to explore South America and find the forbidden Paradise Falls. About 64 years later he gets to begin his journey along with a Boy Scout named Russel with help from 500 balloons. On their journey they discover many new friends including a talking dog and Carl and Russel figure out that someone evil plans. Carl soon realizes that this evildoer is his childhood idol. Will they be able to defeat him and will they find Paradise Falls?

Oh, what a wonderful film this was!! For a children's animation, it was a very touching and delightfully funny story of life, love, loss and adventure.
The story is based around a little boy who's passion is Adventure. He dreams of flying to far off lands, exploring the unknown and finding new species of plants and animals. He is alone in his own little world of adventure until one day he meets a little girl who is just like him, and wants to be an explorer. They instantly become best friends, and later in life, fall in love and get married.
It was spooky watching the start of this film because that little girl was me, when I was a kid! ha ha! I used to spend all my days going off on wee adventures, and dreaming of being an explorer! I even had my den in an old, two-story derelict signal box, with a second floor just like the one in the film!!!! :o)
To all you Wanna-Be Explorers out there...watch this film. It is magical!
