Charlie & Boots Movie (2009)

Have been waiting for this film to become available through lovefilm.com and they finally sent it to me this week.

I have always enjoyed the low budget, independent films that come out of Australia. This one was no exception. I love films that are shot on location too. I think it adds so much. This was literally shot on location as the journey progressed north. Almost all of the extras involved in the film were the locals from the various towns en route.

"When Charlie McFarlane (Paul Hogan) withdraws from his life after a family tragedy, his estranged son, 'Boots' (Shane Jacobson) decides to drag his reluctant father on a trip to fulfil their lifelong ambition to fish off Australia's northern tip in Cape York.
