Well above a Michael Moore mockumentary, this work by Oliver Stone tries to maintain an appearance of impartiality however fails just when I thought it might be getting somewhere. As soon as Cheny (played perfectly by Dryfus)is asked by Powell what the exit strategy from Iraq will be I knew it had a left wing slant. An exit strategy is a term coined by the left for leaving a failed venture when in fact, throughout history, there has never been an exit strategy short of victory and/or the acheivment of stated goals for entering conflict to begin with. A moment later, with a strategic caesura Cheny says 'There is no exit strategy, we stay.' Then shows how the oil is the reason for the venture what with the US pumping it, moving it and consuming it.

Reality however dictates that international companies are pumping it and, consuming it far more than the US and, everybody is paying world prices which tends to prove the bias of the movie despite the reality that the US receives less oil now, after the invasion than they did from Saddam's Iraq prior to.

As soon as this scene came up, the film lost credibility as impartial and entered Moore territory. Sad for a great filmmaker of Stone's stature.

I gave it a 2 as it was interesting for an hour.
