Moviegoers were disappointed across the nation due to the new Fantastic Four movie. It let down fans of the series itself and even those who weren't knowledgeable of the Fantastic Four franchise. Fans were left appalled at the flawed plot and poor pacing that left them stumbling throughout the movie.

The first thing that meets the viewers' eyes are how spectacular the visual effects are, causing you to really want to like this movie. Then you settle in for what you hoped to be a high-octane action packed superhero adventure, which is the norm for most movies in the superhero genre these days. Instead you're settling down for a movie plagued with slow paced scenes and not enough action.

The main flaw with this movie resides within its incredibly bad pacing. In the entirety of the movie, which lasts 1 hour and 46 mins, there are two fight scenes. One of which lasts a remarkable 20 seconds, and the other one is after you've already waded through what seems like hours of awful exposition and slow paced jargon. The viewer is constantly teased, waiting for everything to go wrong, and that moment keeps getting put back farther and farther to the point where when it actually does happen it feels lackluster and doesn't near live up to the hype.

They had a fairly decent cast with good acting experience but there wasn't any synergy between them. Miles Teller (Reed Richards) and Kate Mara (Sue Storm) didn't play off each other as well as they should have. I was anticipating a fairly deep and interesting connection between the two actors. Separately they seemed to be well rounded actors, but between the lackluster script and their lack of synergy there was not much emotional connection to be had.

In conclusion, the Fantastic Four was a fantastic flop and didn't live up to many expectations, they tried to change too much while not changing the core problems of the movie. The worst offense was the complete lack of action in the movie, except at the end, and even that fight scene wasn't very exciting.
