Quantum of Solace is fast paced, with plenty of miraculous escapes for James Bond in the true Ian Fleming tradition. The storyline is a bit thin, but the fast action scenes make the film enjoyable.

This is the 22nd James Bond film, and the second starring Daniel Craig as James Bond. Make sure you see Casino Royale before you see Quantum of Solace, because the action starts immediately following Vesper's betrayal at the end of Casino Royale. Much of the dialogue revolves around how Bond is dealing with his grief at Vesper's death.

Directed by Marc Foster, the cinematography of the film is truly amazing. However, at times the action moves too quickly for the clever camera shots and the audience is left wondering what is actually happening.

Judi Dench is, as always, dominant and dynamic as M, but Bond fans will miss the usual interactions with Q and his amazing spy gadgets. For once Bond doesn't bed the woman who has the most influence on his world in the film, but there is the obligatory bedroom scene with the beautiful woman.

The action is fast and James Bond is righteously furious throughout the film, although he maintains his suave, charming façade. With 106 minutes of action, there are some dramatic, almost unbelievable scenes, with desert scenery to build some beauty into the frantically paced action. The audience is meant to become furious at the injustices perpetrated by the unscrupulous villain, and is helped in this by clever contrasting of mega rich and poor people throughout the film.

This 007 film is fun, but doesn't hold the same thrill as some of the other Bond films. This is an enjoyable film, but hardcore Bond fans may be a touch disappointed. Quantum of Solace is well worth watching though, and action fans will take pleasure in the fast and furious pace.

A dramatic car chase through road tunnels and a quarry, complete with Bond being shot at by the machine gun wielding bad guys, interrogation and torture, betrayal and treason, a horse race, a pedestrian chase through tunnels, amidst the crowded carnival, and across the roof tiles, and Bond kills his man while hanging dramatically by his foot. And that’s just in the first five minutes of the film. The latest Bond picks up where Casino Royale left off... with all the cars, gadgets and explosions all the Bond movies have alwasy done so well.

Great Bond movie with Daniel Craig in it. Casino Royale was a lame attempt to jumpstart a dying franchise. I still think Clive Owen would've been a better Bond, but Owen has his reasons to turn down the role.

Quantum of Solace "borrowed" a couple of ideas from "Bourne Identity" and "Transporter" franchises. I loved the homage with a slight twist to "Goldfinger" with the death of one of the Bond girls.thumbs up
