Dances with Wolves Movie (1990)

U.S. Army Lieutenant John G. Dunbar during and shortly after the U.S. Civil War get's to know the nearby Native American Sioux tribe. How can you not like this story line? A soldier learning to love the ways of the American Indian, the true Americans.

I'll watch anything with American Indians in it.

again this is probabley one of the best westerns ever made its in my top ten

An extremely well done film, there is also a 4 hour version which fills in all the gaps from the hour version, there are some incorrect documented facts but very close to how it was, if you've ever read the book "Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee" by Dee Wallace, you'll understand their blight more.

This is such a great movie. I never cared for Costner 'till I saw this movie. I actually cry when Costner is leaving and the one indian on top of the mountain is on his horse and shouting , don't go, I am you friend ect.. Then start the waterworks, because you know that eventually that tribe would actually be attacked and killed and what we did to the American Indians. So sad, my son would always laugh at me and "it's only a movie Mom"

Kids {they don't undertand.} He eventually bought me that movie and said you can cry your eyes out at anytime now" The origional movie was 3 hours long and I was talked into seeing it. Those three hours went by unnoticed.One of the greats, makes you start thinking how unfair that the calvery had a lot of determination to eradicate the indians of our country. Grat performers great story, just great.

I think this is Costner best film,,,though I did like "Water",am I alone in this ???

Water World !!!

never saw water world but it has been said it was one of his worst films and was a loss as in money. Put him in a slump, I think for quite a while, 'till JFK.

Ms Hollyberries you should watch "Water world" ,,its diffferent,so it lost lots and lots of money,(do we really care),but you just might like it,( its a bit like Mad Max on water),another film our Kev did is "The Postman",Now I think that film is a Turkey,,,

Waterworld , just referring that it did not make enough money and people involved cared. Costner did not make a great movie after a long period and it put him in a slump .He did not make many movies after that, started drinking and drugs until Dances with Wolves and JFK. I think in this movie I began to really like him as an actor. Did Not like Pelican Brief that was another flop. But,still Dances With Wolves regaines his momentum and popularity. I will have to look for Waterworld to see it, Thanks,Holly

Yes ..Postman . I saw it on tv once and did not catch the whole movie. Have to look that one up too.
