dear moon

Hey ! I watched the moon today in all its majestic beauty.
A pure white light, its background - the night,
left me transfixed in sight.

But surely this beauty, of a daily phenomenum,
is lacking in lustre, compared to a smile.

Smile, smile, oh beautiful woman,
and bring me joy through these, mine eyes.
For what is the point of being,
If not able to bask in the warmth of your smile?

Dear moon,
be happy you're outshone, by the inner beauty of this being.
Stay bright, and light and happy for me tonight,
And show me the way,
to my delight !
