Never The Same

Author: turnip73

I hate goodbyes,
And you leaving.
Walk out that door,
And just leave me.
Never look back,
Just believe me.
I’ll never be the same.
Sometimes you see,
That I need you.
I hide it well,
But you see through.
Look in my eyes,
What can I do?
I’ll never be the same.

The me that you knew,
Just died today.
Dried up and withered and,
Just blew away.
A life without you,
Was never in my dreams.
Even now it already seems,
I’ll never be the same.

Death to me now,
Just seems insane.
Bleeding inside,
Nowhere to drain.
Cut to the bone,
Hitting no vein.
I’ll never be the same.
Tiptoed across,
Your memory.
Then thought fuck that,
Run through so free.
I so insist,
Diligently.
I’ll never be the same.

The me that you knew,
Just died today.
Dried up and withered and,
Just blew away.
A life without you,
Was never in my dreams.
Even now it already seems,
I’ll never be the same.
