Ice Has Covered My Burning Flame

Author: Autumn47

How Deep Is My Love ? (From Spring to Autumn )

The opposite of love I found is indifference while pain is the reverse twin of love.

The deeper the love the greater the pain, while indifference is the state of being unaware.

To feel is part of the deal of love and pain.

It seemed like last year, but in fact the poem was written in Spring this year.

Will you let me slide down the abyss of indifference?

To block out feelings of pain, shutting down the center where feelings are made? I used to refer this as my heart.

Ice has covered my burning flame – smoldering deeply into a corner, banished but not extinguished.

It will lie calm, satisfied that I have loved and its still there.

To recall it from time to time, savoring the memories of early Spring .

You will always lie still in my heart.

About this poem:
There is love beyond unfulfilled desires - elevating to a state of mind. For matured minds only to fathom. To love one is to set one free.
