sure enough, age twenty
pure pleasure had it's way
I met a lot of women
I sure gave them my time
I had a lot of romance
and came out feelin' fine
but now I know I cheated
myself, cause I was blind
took time and pain to find this
regrets, lessons that I've learned
are as a thorn into my mind
always felt that romance is the way
be loved and truely love in kind
now I'm off to another love
have I learned a thing at all?
I hold what I wanted
but I do not feel the thrall
another case of allright it surely seems to be
still yet no miracle for me
such heights of passion
I've never reached before
but how to escape
where is the exit door?
