Finding You

Author: rockart

Boots
Cords for laces
One slightly ajar from the other
Old socks curled around them
Like a lover keeping another warm

Kakis soled and damp from the privies day
Lay tired next to the fire
Holding the smaller
Keeping them dry

The morning due is gleaming
In the days birth

The breeze has know difficulty
Easing its way up the small valley

We hade found one another
In the wash of the moon light
