It swells up inside
Anticipating your every move
You’re taking me along for the ride
I want to make you happy
I want to know you more
I know it wouldn’t be easy
I know you’ve been hurt before
I want to see you smile
I want to hear your voice
I want us to be together
But I want it to be your choice
This feeling I feel
I think you might feel it too
But if you ever rejected me
I don’t know what I’d do
I want to be your best friend
I want you to be mine
But I don’t want us to grow apart
Or leave the other behind
We have so much in common
We make each other smile
I know we’d be the best of friends
If we got to hang out for a while
Right now this poem is winging it
I’m not really sure what to say
I’m sure no one will read it
Because no one cares anyway
But please promise me something
That we’ll always be each others friend
And that we’ll always listen
And be there till it’s end. :]
