If I Could Have Some Time With You

If I could have some time with you
these are just some of the things we could do.

We could walk barefoot along a sandy shore
chasing the waves while seagulls soar.
Or dance under the stars on a moonlit night
our bodies gently swaying as we hold each other tight.

We could watch the sun set in fiery shades of red
and see the moon rise slowly in the suns stead.
Or kick crisp leaves on an autumn day
and laugh at the wind as it blows them away.

We could stand on a cliff top while angry waves roar
and break on the cliff-face as if at war.
Or drink champagne in front of an open fire
and watch the flames dance while we kindle our desire.

But most of all we could share a lovers’ blissful night
and in each other arms greet the dawn’s sad light.
