Why Me?

Author: tigalile

Hey you up there, I want answers!
Yeah I'm talking to you.
You who thinks He's mightier than all,
You who thinks He's holier than thou!
Why did you choose to take my life
Only to then change your mind?
Is it just another one of your tests
To see where my loyalty rests?
Just when I'd come to terms
With all that had happened to me,
Now once more I'm asking why?
In such a horrible crash, why didn't I die?
Do you see a purpose for me
Or am I to be left drifting in the sea.
I don't think I'm worthy at all.
It's not like I'm 10 feet tall.
I'm not a professor
I'm not a doctor
All I am is just a mother.
Send me a sign of why I'm still here
Not leave me filled with only fear.
I'm angry and happy
I laugh and I cry.
All I want to know is WHY?

About this poem:
I wrote this poem 3 days after a near fatal car accident. As you can see I was very angry and confused.

Thankyou for taking the time to read my poem. I too believe we are all special....at the time i wrote this I was all over the place emotionally. I still have questions but they don't consume me. Everything happens for a reason.
