Butterfly In A Bottle

Butterfly In A Bottle

As if in a dream you pass through time ever searching,
blinded because only your mind knows you are looking.
Crossing the still waters of inner sanctum asking why,
from within comes self doubt, from a weary soul a sigh.
Suddenly in one moment hope rises when the mist clears
simply to change the dark side of regrets into new fears.
Amid nagging restlessness human feeling slowly returns
awakening passionate emotions where love’s fire burns.
Remembering those pretty faces once seen in full bloom
you must show something soon, but for what, for whom?
In the quiet finding true melancholic despair to descend
you pay the full price for the inner searching you spend.
You’re locked in a bottle of magic shadow shows it seems
yet in a mind full of human memory, a butterfly dreams!
