to my friend

i remember the first time that we met
it was on this site on the internet
i wanted to chat and make a friend
so a beautiful flower card i did send

i had but all a sincere intention
i sensed there was a real connection
even though we are miles an miles apart
i knew a true friendship here would start

the friendship has grown for one another
a real friend to know like no other
with you i know that i can share
you are a true friend that does care

you lend an ear to hear my troubles
they all seem to float away just like bubbles
when i am sad and feel real crappy
you lift my spirits and make me happy

you bring such joy and put a smile on my face
for you are special one i could never replace
i want you to know i will be there for you
a friend for life that will always be true
