I wish...

I wish I could meet him,
My own Mr. Right.
I'd never let go,
I'd hold him so tight.
I would hug him and kiss him
and make him feel good.
I would know how to please him
like no one else could.
I wouldn't take him for granted,
In him, I'd confide
I'd stick up for him
and I'd stand by his side.
I'd cook and I'd clean
I'd give good advice,
and I'd love him forever,
without thinking twice.

Thank you for commenting on my poem, I'm just coming out of a 5 year relationship, and so my poetry is sort of all over the place. Sometimes I write depressed poems while at other times I write hopeful ones. It just depends on what mood I'm in. Anyway, I'm happy to see you guys enjoyed it, thanks again.

I'm out of a 12 year relationship where I was stopped from writing poetry, music or doing anything creative. It's nice to know that you 2 have faith that you can find your soulmate one day.

Not sure about the cooking and cleaning, I think that should be shared. I love to cook so perhaps there's room for compromise.

Well phrased, extremely uplifting and hopeful. I hope you meet this guy one day.

I'd sure love to be your Mr Right! Could do with some hugs and kisses.
