It Couldn’t Be

I walk up to you speaking only with my eyes. What am I saying to you? I hide all emotions. I keep my heart in disguise. You stare deep into my soul piercing through all of my defenses. You see right through me, and its no surprise. You know me so well as if you can hear my thoughts. I have no choice but to let my true feelings arise. You continue your gaze and your lips curve into a smile. Instantly I give in. I don't know what it is about you that keeps me in your spell. I look down at my feet overwhelmed by your gaze and my lips begin to curve into a smile. You light up knowing you've unlocked the side of me you recognize. I'm lucky to have found you although we're worlds apart. You read my eyes, heart, and soul. Everything you see you already know. I whisper, "I Love You, I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know." I Lean In for a kiss and you close your eyes. Our lips never meet and you wonder why? A soft breeze whispers, "open your eyes" only to realize. I'm Gone…
