Unlit and dreary room

It's half past midnight
and I'm all alone
in this unlit
and dreary room

cold and unforgiving
are memories of
shattered emotions

beyond forgetting,
always hovering
the past that wilted in the wind

haunting the hell out of me
endlessly
as I feel all alone
broken
lifeless
in this dreary
cold, sad
and unlit room.

This isn't my abode at the moment. But the power of remembering is way too potent. Ignoring only makes it more disturbing.

You are now a bright lit candle among us. An inspiration for all us poetess.

Oh sis. I had more or less the same problem and now I turn on light when I sleep and ok now lol. Would love to share with you my short verses. Hopefully it helps somehow.

Put aside craziness of life
Close your eyes when nights call for rest
Something went wrong doesn't mean it's bad
Simply the best yet to come
As you know you are just awesome
You deserve not a humble treat
Thrive beyond all the emptiness
Self fulfillment happiness in hand teddybear

All women are not the same. Some (like you), are gifted with such piercing
intellect and passion for truth and
justice that their heart crys for an
ear to hear. I know this from reading
your many forum writes though you probably
thought I wasn't paying attention. Your
poetry is no less than a profound statement of your deep sensiblities as
a woman who can be gentle as a lamb or
infused with the rage of a lion. We live
in a world on fire and every conceivable
lawlessness. Thank you Miss Lindsy for
lighting a candle of love for those who
have eyes to see.

Jim thank you so much. It is nice to know that you are reading all my writes and my appreciation. You, too Jim, your writes are inspiration to all of us here at CS. I am happy to know that you have a very keen interest on my contributions. If I may suggest for you to participate and interact with discussion. If not it is okay.

Thank you again and I hope all is fine with you.

Kedves Lindsy!
Gyönyöru szép vers, ami a magányról szól.
Boldogan lennék társad, hogy ne érezd magad egyedül
a kivilágítatlan szobában.
Ha sivár az életed, azon könnyen segíthetünk,

Gaby, unfortunately I don't speak this language but googled the meaning and I get your point. Being lonely is not always a good thing. Please do something that makes you happy without hurting yourself and or others.

I will try to translate the rest.

Jim, I'm so excited to read your comments over and over again. I can't believe how much if a power these words emit to me right now. I feel like I am lifted with the spirit of your strength.

Thank you Jim.
