In the far West (USA) we have two major groups of religions.
Capitalists -- dollar-worshipers: people who get out there and work for what they have.
-- Love their freedoms to pursue, and their homes, cars and other possessions.
-- They are charitable and love doing things for others.
-- getting to where they can't keep their health care plans.
and
Obamanists -- dollar-worshipers: people who want something great for less or want others to pay for what they have.
-- Love big government and their new cell phones.
-- expect others to do things for them.
-- Have affordable health care.

I think Christianity by a lot, but not fundamentalist Christianity - I think the majority is kind of a New Age Christianity or liberal Christianity (there is social pressure still in many parts of the West to believe in something). The West is pretty big, of course!
