serene56: How do you cope when life gets stressful
It's very difficult to do this for every variable in life, but try to have a back-up plan for everything and if possible: Have a back-up plan for the back-up plan. Unpredictable circumstances or uncontrolled circumstances in life, is what causes stress. So, my answer: Is to have a near perfect idea of your future.

Thank you Cuddles, I agree that it's when unexpected things happen that we feel vulnerable and stress can take hold.
With some degree of control, or at least a back-up plan for events that may recur, it does give a little peace of mind

Mostly I am in to meditation or yoga when I feel stressed but yes to be honest there are some situation that I feel go and get the neck crack down and put underground but I did not do this far but in that situation I call my father or my mother, they both are good listeners and kind therapy wise.

It's so good to have support when life gets difficult Z
Stress its only a question of mind. Some people coop with it better then others. I shall say a good breathing technique could do it ( with your eyes closed ). At the moment I have to say I'm a little bit on stress, cause waiting for this guy to come and finish his duggy work that he started. And my BB is stood up cause of him..... that's stress , and I had to coop with it in the past month

If that's not your scene, a good bottle of Jack Daniels does wonders!

I'd disagree that stress is only a question of mind.
For example, leaving babies to prolonged bouts of crying (as recommended by some genres of childcare) and the consequent insecure attachment is thought to result in neurological changes. These physical and neurochemical changes are carried through to adulthood and effect adult ability to deal with stress.

I can't bear it when people leave babies to cry like that

It's a highly recommended genre of childcare, apparently popularised in the 1880's in part to reduce transmission of infections and partly as a behavioural training technique.
Gina Ford's The Contented Little Baby is still very much in vogue, despite the controversy and the evidence available from the 1950's regarding Attachment Theory (John Bowlby, considered the father of Attachment Theory, Mary Ainsworth and many others).
The parenting, or childcare techniques which advocate early discipline and training rather suit today's busy and routined lifestyles, so if it's recommended, it's going to be used.

Well I'm gonna be busy then, running around and picking all the poor wee mites up and giving them a Nanna cuddle

Which is precisely what babies and children need to become healthy, independent adults who cope well with stressful events in their lives.
It also makes me think about how disparaging some people can be towards those who don't cope with stress well - it's very easy to scoff at, or blame others from a position of advantage. It's just not very useful.

Yeah , if I said my opinion to my English cousin that has a degree in psycologie, he wouldn't agree with me 100% either
I sincerely apologise jac, but my English level its a bit on a day by day level ( use to work in Yorkshire pudding factory's ) and I unestly didn't understand what you said. I do apologise.
But to me normal stress its a factor of mind, everyone of us deals with it in a way or another. If I did understand, if somebody leaves his/ her crying baby for hours . That's not stress.
I give you an example. Long time ago on the news in italy I heard a guy had his little baby on the seats on the back of the car. went to his day by day jobs and he actually forgot to take his baby to the childcare . As a result the baby died from heat of that day. The father was inter located afterword and he said , he had lots of stress that day cause of varieuse problems.
