This is a long shot but I've got an article to write on cross-dressing. As I type, I am wearing a big striped shirt and jeans and no make-up so I guess I am already cross-dressed, but I've never (knowingly) known a male cross-dresser, although one bloke in my history pinched my cashmere jumpers because he loved the feel (and they did make him very cuddly and affectionate). Men wearing skirts, hell, I live in Scotland, no worries whatsoever with that. Men usually have better legs anyway.
If you thought about it for the first time because of this poll, what was your knee-jerk reaction? And women - your experiences or reactions with cross-dressing men, or even the thought of it?
Some men still think using moisturizer is sissy - some completely hetero types thinking nothing of wearing mascara to improve their looks. It is a huge, huge subject. Your response would be very much appreciated.
Obstinance_Works: I'm game. I never thought I would be able to disappoint my parents any further, but I'll give it a shot.
Actual LOL it is usually (from everything I've researched so far) in the comfort and privacy of your own home. Wipe off the lipstick, and they'll never know.
Of course if you live with them still, okay, they'll notice.
VivianLee: Fantastic reply, and wow, this is exactly the sort of leads I hoped for, thanks! And lol re the socks and sandals, some things are just going too far
Well... interesting subject... Myself, definitely NO. I like a man to look like a man and act like a man ... hairy, beard and all...
I like a tough guy who is virile, but who also has a gentle side and not afraid of showing his feelings and emotions - in other words, with the Yin and Yang well balanced.
I have a gay friend who uses face creams and lotions, wears make up, shaves his legs etc... and what he does in the privacy of his home, I don´t really care. I just love him and accept him the way he is. But, that´s it!

iwil55: One year for Halloween I dressed as a nun (with a chainsaw)... Does that count?
I did that too a couple of times. but only for a party, not to walk around on a regular day. But I love to wear pink! Real men wear pink, lol.
Honestly, when I see a crossdresser, I think it is disgusting, with the hairy legs, etc. But a drag queen is a different story. I like to look at them, on how they try to be a over the top woman! They can be really pretty, but I wouldnt fall for them, lol.

Fair comment and I would be concerned if my bloke started regularly borrowing my lipstick. But if I could find a bloke my size, and he enjoyed shopping for our wardrobe, what a timesaver ....
Charming7: I once knew some guy who loved to wear teddies, stay ups and heels...groannnnnnnnnnn...for me it was a complete turn off. I understood his need for that but somehow couldn't get past it..I am ok with cologne and tweezing, waxing and all that other usual stuff but cross dressing just literally kills me..
Dying to be nosy here - was it a turn-on for him, or something completely separate to your lovelife? You don't have to answer! but I definitely liked Dr Frankenfurter in the Rocky Horror Show ...

Cross dressing , moi ? Nope , most definitely not as a single bloke .
In the comfort and in private company of an other half/partner , a little bit of play I honestly don't know .
Going out smelling like of 'mens perfume' , make up ??? No way no how . I have two masculine scented aftershaves and I alternate between the two . Occasionally I will use some aftershave balm if it feels particularly sensitive to avoid the irritation of aftershave .

a lot of men, self included, do the public a courtesy when they wear socks. Nothing grosser than gnarled yellow toenails, calluses, and curly toes in smelly sandals.

Raphael, begging to differ - 1 stranger in a 100 may, only may, notice the toes and if the sandals are so smelly they draw attention, buy new ones! 100 out of 100 will notice the socks. Why wear sandals at all, if you want to cover up? Trainers, clogs, loafters, all look fine. IMO! (But not the only one who thinks so)

Seems that no one ,male or female ever attended a Rocky Horror Film Fest and dressed up or it….went to a few, what a riot of fun! A couple of us even learned how to walk in high heels!
