mnowsa: O lord....life is not all about only happiness!! happiness is not a continuous thing no matter you are with a man or woman!! besides, if you are always happy, you won't be able to appreciate it and then life will be stagnated! So, there will be times when you will be happy and there will be times when you will be sad. Talking about hormones? Of course, it will go to sleep at some point. How long do you want to have your hormonal rage!? 50 years? 100 years? 200 years?! And then what?

The truth of the matter is i can't ensure happiness of others always because i can't make myself happy all the time. And guess what it is absolutely ok to be not happy always, because life will be too much boring...

You're right in one thing: "Men and women are too different", and that's the beauty of it. Some will be happy for longer periods than others but it has nothing to do with hormones or gender. It has to do with little things that pile up and make us appreciate our differences. As for the sleeping hormones; it's up to us to keep them awake and kicking. Peace out

It's just because of the s*xual-hormones that they become attractive for each other. If these hormones fall asleep there is no mutual interest anymore.
In short words: Only sex is establishing a commitment between men and women.
