Referring to my poll or survey called, “How a dating web site can work for you”, mentioned below.
If you meet your dream person on any dating web site, will you fly over to meet your dream person if he/she is living in another country?
“Yes” means that I will fly over to meet my dream person.
“No” means that I will not fly over to meet my dream person.
Please, let me know.
Thank you. Regards. Jan 991.
Well it depends on the country he is in. If I have friends there and possibly relatives, then I can visit them and have my friends and relatives meet up with him. I wouldn't want to be in a country where he was the only person I had contact with because he may not be what I thought, or I might not be who he thought.
The thought of it be nice as love travel anyway,,I'm too down to earth and practical sometimes so better to think and say anything is possible when you believe,
Yes I will. I'm fortunate enough to be able to do so and I rather go and perhaps be disappointed then for ever wonder if that was the person I should be with and lost him out of fear of taking a risk.
Depends on many factors i,ll go to Australia as i know my way around and have friends there, The cost to go to the UK, Germany and close by i would love to just i dont have the money i would need for a trip there and it would be too much at this time any way ,
Plus for a long term relationship i doubt it would work, passports and changing countys .and how do you live not much work and then health issues if any, we are not talking about age under 60 so that factors into it as well, what income would you have, i would say none. so no in my case,

When I first came on to this site I was open to all possibilities, but, now reality has kicked in.
I have too many responsibilities here in New Zealand for me to even consider relocating. Once my children are older, I would possibly look at moving across the Tasman, as I have lived in Oz previously, but not so I am too far away from my children.
He would have to relocate here.
A long distance relationship would be out due to the cost etc involved, so relocation for him would be the only solution and that's a helluva of a lot to ask.
I'm primarily here, now, just for the friendly banter on the forums/blogs.

And not forgetting the occasional posting of songs on the forums as well!

I'm in Australia and have flown and driven to two other states should have been three other states ! And my last relationship was in my state but a 4 hour bus ride away. All of my travels ended eventually with me being single . I have decided to stay in my city of Adelaide and just look in my backyard when I'm ready to date again !
As a side note except for my first trip to meet someone . The second person interstate and my last one four hours away . Might have been karma every time I returned home I came home sick. Totally different things wrong with me but makes you think an omen from above or just unlucky !

I do wish our ladies looked as good as you Irish lasses
It depends strongly on the situations. I would fly/drive/travel by other transportation within reasonable distance, without making it a big issue. I would kind of expect the other site to do the same. Meeting in third place for the first time would also work for me.
I would even consider meeting someone I would be trully interested in from other continent if he would have to at least theoreetical freedom to move to EU. I would not travel to meet someone out of EU if he would be bounded with his continent or country as strong as I am, e.g. having a child whose other parent live there and they are strongly attached.
But, I kind of do the initiall selection regarding distance (EU). So that's only theory.
Yet, I see some of you guys here - do seem to like each other a lot but living in different continents. If it would happen to me I would give it a try unless my economical situation wouldn't allow me to. So I would suggest you "move your asses" :). Could be just vacation, could turn to something great.

Depends where man.
In Europe could do. Let's see.
I'm in north of France, so that's make's it avaible from the tunnel shuttle ( Calais- Dover ) to UK. I can get Ryanair from Beauvais to irleland- so that avaible too. To Belgium , Holland and Germany its roughly two hours from me, so that's OK too.
I could also fly to the mediterane country's like Portugal, Spain, Italy.
But in the WORLD. WOW man that is a little too much to ask for a ( presume ) relationship via internet.
So I stick with Europe and mostly France, hopfuly in my area.
The heart knows no distance, no bounds, and no country or origin. I wouldn't hesitate to travel in the pursuit of the heart. Indeed, even if there wasn't magic in the heart, the experience, the adventure would be worthwhile. I've traveled fairly extensively alone only for the sake of travel and exploration. A friendly face along the way would only add to the experience.
