It will probably reach more than that number of deaths in most major cities everywhere.
Watch what happens when it breaks out in Central America! There will probably be stampedes of great numbers running to get over the borders into the USA and Canada!
Ebola seems to thrive in hot weather. wonder if Ebola can survive colder climates like our winters.

the nurses in texas hospital may go on strike, the misinformation and disinformation from CDC and others just a week ago is scary.
they do a better job in liberia so far of protecting against transmission to nurses.
US is in third world category in a lot of health care mgmt.
We have know since 9 11 that we are vulnerable to plagues and done nothing about it.

QUESTION: Getting back to air travel from West Africa. Some people are calling for a travel ban to the U.S. There are concerns that some people who may have been infected over there will try to get over here for treatment. Are those legitimate concerns?
DR. LAPOOK: “You can’t get into the minds of people. And if I were over there, to be honest, and I knew I had been exposed, I might think about trying to come over here, where only one of six people treated in America have died. The odds are better. I understand that human instinct. I spoke to Ambassador Malac, who’s the United States ambassador to Liberia yesterday. I asked her, people say they should close off the borders, and she said that’s the worst thing you can do because if you isolate these countries, there’s not going to be the kind of free flow of help that you need. I’ve got to tell you, you can have all the magical thinking you want and think we’re going to put some sort of bubble around the United States. There’s no bubble that you can put around the United States. This epidemic is out of control in West Africa. And if we don’t nail it, if we don’t stop it, then inevitably, it’s going to spread further within Africa, and then there will be more and more cases here.”

currently each infected person is infecting two others . At that rate not sure when my number will be up . Bet those white gloves are made in China , cheapest on the market . Thin layer to protect a health worker . Not sure there will be a rush to USA , going by the number of deaths and infections its the 4th worst place to be . Question , do we paint the house or leave it like it is . Be over 10.000 deaths by the end of the month or soon after .

One big difference between the health care workers in Africa and those here fighting Ebola is the ones in Africa have the experience. Those prone there to stupid or careless mistakes are mostly already dead. Give us time, we too shall experience this filtering mechanism.
Regarding the Army going there, I pity the soldier who has to wear the JSLIST CB suit while building a hospice. The environment of Africa may be a little hot and humid for that suit while doing construction duty.

Actually there is a school of study that maintains the Black Death was not Bubonic Plague but instead an Ebola outbreak coming off captured monkeys being sold in Constantinople then spread as ships traveled..
