I'd pick all of the above but I forgot to put in that choice.
But just to narrow it down:

Famous Five for childhood memory,
The Snapper for a laugh,
The Great Gatsby for classic literature, loved that era,
Pride and Prejudice for Mr. Darcy of course! lol,
Goddess of Vengeeance for chicklit fun

One should not limit oneself to one genre, one thinks! grin

I have read so many hundreds if not thousands of books through the years that it is difficult to choose a few favourites, but here goes:

Pride & Prejudice and actually everything written by Jane Austen
All the novels of Charles Dickens
The Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad
The Mill on the Floss by George Elliot
The Prophet by Khalil Gibran
All the novels of Ian Rankin, Mark Billingham, Val McDermid, Peter Robinson

Unfortunately, I'm not fond of American authors, particularly the modern authors, although something can be said for Henry James....

I'm currently reading A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens.

And it resonates. Dickens being a man whose parents lived lavishly beyond their means and ran up so much debt that Charles Dickens himself inherited destitution, and this relationship puts me in mind of the relationship which exists between Baby Boomers and Millennials.
