I've always been a night owl, struggle to get sleepy before 01h00. Perfect world, I'd be up to 03h00, sleep until 10h00, not an option that works well with the average job.

Any other night owls out there? Any tips? help confused wow reunion daydream

My grandmother's remedy:

Warm a cup of milk in pot on element....do NOT boil. Blend a tablespoon of golden syrup in it. If milk is too warm it will curdle.

Worked for me and tasted yum.

One of those awful drinks where I don't know how the manufacturer's stay in business. It's as bad as Dr Pepper which tastes like carbonated Benylin.

Not even a teaspoon of syrup in the house. Trying a latte with decaf coffee and honey. I don't think there is an emoticon for fingers crossed.

The latte is a bit vile, must be said.

Or if not available, a glass of wine helps

Yep...true.

I rarely drink. Half a glass of wine would do it for me. I kid you not.

Been there, done that. 2 years of working 24/7 was enough, and plenty. I worked the hours that suited my customers because I didn't want to turn anything down, and it became a habit. And, by the way, turned me into a night owl! rolling on the floor laughing

There is that after the novelty has worn off.

Although thinking about when you had worked for someone else, helps.

There is no happy medium

It depends too. I wanted to get out of the rat race and the only way I could see how to really do that is to start something which was "setting the pace". So its completely new and unique, that way its totally up to you how you want to deal with things (which makes it robust).

I find there is a cycle I go through with sleep. I cant live by an alarm clock.

In my care too I think ! laugh

Have you tried what I call a "Split shift" pattered in sleep?

This is where you sleep for, say four hours, and you go about your usual day, then sleep the remainder at another time with in a 24 time frame, so you gewt your full eight hours sleep.

I used t do this when I had a 9 to 5

You get home and go to sleep for four hours, then you go out all night and in the early hours go to sleep for the rest of the four hours.

It used to work really well.
