Freedomofspeech9: I must add these too - Gavin & Stacey, Father Ted, The Victor of Dibley,Goodnight sweetheart, Game on, Every decreasing circles, The Royle Family
I always thought "Are You Being Served" was entertaining. I also liked "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin". Then there were the great "Carry on" movies.
pedalguy59: The counter point to that is CNN and Fox news are TV shows, only showing, shall we say, selective news. The Canadian SCTV news was the most factual I ever saw.
The only news I recall seeing from Canada was made by Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. I understand boxer Mike Tyson loves the guy.

The one with Flasheart.
I also like Little Britain, my favourite character is the guy from the Scottish hotel Ray McCooney.
The seeded fruit that is often mis-tooken for a ve-ge-ta-ble, red in colour and fleshy within, but beware of the pips! They called it: the T-O-M-A-T-O!
mollybaby: OMG..How could I have forgotten The Office!
Brilliant!
(Again, the original English version, not the American! Sorry, but some things just shouldn't be copied, and can never be bettered!)
Well Ms. Molly there was one great show that was copied by America, and became even culturally greater. Till death do us part became All In The Family and was a super hit. Steptoe and Son, became Sanford and Son which was pretty good too. One that really was terrible in America was Three's Company, nowhere near as good as Man About the House.
