Irrespective of how much money either partner has the girl will usually prefer to take the passive, supportive and more submissive role.
Women are not really attracted to money per se(unless it's LOADS of money). What they're really attracted to is confidence, manhood and stability of nature - everything that she isn't - which she then refines with her woman's touch. What she really wants is a personality stronger than her own to rely on in many senses.

My ex-husband had no problem depending on me and he is British !!!

I don't WANT to depend financially on a guy.
That someone can't get a woman usually has nothing to do with money - I know plenty with partners who don't have any riches - but it's an excuse for some people to blame others and not have a look at themselves why they can't attract someone.

I never knew what previous boyfriendd worked at, or how much money they had, before I started dating them.
And if they were ever going through cash-flow problems, we would just stay in and I would cook dinner instead of going out.

I see nothing wrong with women spending money on their man is wrong. Personally, when I'm in a relationship, I enjoy splurging on my partner, whether it be simple or not, it may be dinner & drinks of me tonight, etc.
On the other hand I enjoy when my partner splurges on me as well. It gives me a warm feeling inside.
With that being said, if I made more money than my partner/husband it wouldn't bother me because I'm just grateful to have money period. There are many women who love their money regardless of how much money he does or doesn't have but instead for the man he really is.

Good God, I SO agree with you. I don't want to have to be dependent on ANYONE for ANYTHING. But, I concede, there is a real need for give and take and if you are married or in a relationship and you're a woman and your man has just lost his job, I believe it ought to be your responsibility to help him look after his needs. If you don't then you are shallow and hollow. Similarly, if you are a man in a relationship or marriage and your woman has lost her job, the the aforementioned rules still should apply. My own opinion is those women who reject a man because he is broke or unemployed (like me) or simply not very successful in a way that the woman wants him to be, those women ARE NOT WORTH ANYONE'S ATTENTION.

Oh dear , this is a can of worms in our country we have whats know as a fund for those who are worse off because of not being able to work both men and women ,
through our tax fund we surport those who are on a benifit because of disabilitys or mental disorders or the like ,
i know of many because of the work i do and have done , and out side of this we through our groups get help money and goods = food and help others at different time,s of the year im involved because im incharge of food cooking and getting others to help me so we have different groups departments that offer help .
Now who should pay those of us who can work ,
so from this we dont seperate any difference between men or women or children we give to those who have a need ,
Now in a relastionship should it be any different ,depends on who is working for the good of the unit = family , ,
For us Jos and i , i worked Jos did not need to she gave birth to our children so she had a full time all on with our children not a 8 hour a day 9 to 5 it was 24 hours a day 7 days a week . yes i helped just not the same as Jos had to ,
So who should pay Jos payed and worked hard ,
So look beyound the all about the myself and money and who spends what on who there never will be an equal how best to work out things is you do it together ,
In our case i did the money because i was in bussness and contracting so knew the income and out going Jos did not wont to do the accounts so i had to ,

It is not the norm of the new world that relationship became something for the super rich.It is in fact better for poor people/men these days to have relationship.
Some women would refrain from spending their money especially on men they meet on sites because some men don't want to spend their money on women,because they don't want one woman,they want many women,and it surely will cost them far more than they can afford to keep spending their money.
They are a lot of women who will support their men financially when the men are treating them right..Most women will help their men financially and emotionally if the men satisfy their emotional needs.Money is not really what most women need in relationship,but it helps if u have it.
There are some women who is supporting their men but those men take those women's money and spend it on other girls,even in some cases they laugh at the women who supports them behind their back.Also some poor men as soon as they become rich leave their good women for some other females.
