Personally I don't think is the numerical age that pairs a couple, I thing mental age plays a major factor. Generally women mature earlier than men and so an elder gentleman maybe more compatible. There are , however, cases where the opposite occurs but it's very rare..

I think I've made it known that I prefer much much older men, preferably over 60.
I've been approached by many younger men here and I know the exact reason why they did so...
Most of them, if not all, are on the look-out for some fun and thinking that by approaching older women that in their opinion are lonely and desperate for attention, these women would easily succumb to their charms
Having said that, to each their own and like what KNenagh above me stated, it's between two consenting adults.

So long as both parties are happy it matters not i think... I have however witnessed these relationships go pear shaped in the longer term as a direct result of said age gap....But this has been with age gaps greater than ten years. But how many relationships last forever these days anyway.. If 2 people are happy together they should embrace the happiness i think.

The other side of the coin might be that younger men are less patriarchal and more in line with older women's sense of equality.
I guess it might depend on what type of maturity people are seeking.

more to this Jacs. I've worked in the fields of construction and oil exploration all my life. Both are fairly physically demanding jobs. Have seen a few girls give it a go. Good on them but they invariably want concessions made for their femininity! Need a lift? I'm a girl it's too heavy!I guess it might depend on what type of maturity people are seeking.
