True, based on bad intelligence, Bush the junior's Fubar was to go into Iraq. At one point Bush forecast what would happen if we pulled out at some point with certain ongoing conditions there. Then, along comes POTUS Obama who totally ignores bush's warnings and everyone else's qualified opinion. The rise of Isis is on Obama, not Bush.

galrads: We shouldn't lead in the world, ever. Our economy and currency could use a rest and recover. In the meantime, why doesn't Europe take a lead again? Let your taxes generate enough revenue to enable Europe to defend itself without outside assistance for a change and settle your own issues and develop your own energy sources.

TheRedSquirrel87: The good point(if you can call it that)in having a lack of ideological diversity is that anarchy outranks revolution. You're much more likely to be stabbed by a drug dealer than hung by a communist. And the welfare state arises to plaster over this social decay in its primary purposes of crime insurance and riot prevention. And this is why you'd have to be disconnected to the point of autism to ditch the welfare state without any alternative plan for the poor.

Anyway, that's the irony in cultural diversity because it diminishes intellectual diversity. Basic conversation dies in multiculturalism as the manners and customs of expression become too diffuse to remain comprehensible. When norms are so diverse that a smile can be a come-on to one person and a taunt to the next reactions become impossible to predict. People shut down, conversation shrinks, resulting in a net loss of skills for the individual. From this arises myopic and onanistic individual surrounded by people just like him(although he'll never relate to them). Simply put: Personality dies in multiculturalism.

We're like the spiders. Spiders which are exposed to the same group of spiders everyday develop stronger and more distinctive personalities than those shifted from one set of spiders to the next. The homogeneous spider has more personality than the multicultural spider and this personality develops from better and stronger relations with the group of spiders at large.

The nerd knows that he will never have the charisma and social intelligence to be popular and so therefore clings to the social status point that political correctness brings out of crying necessity. And over time political correctness will dumb down and confound social intelligence across the body of society until such time where the nerd no longer feels like a misfit: Everyone is a misfit in diversity and this is great news for misfits.
