Obama enabled the crisis in the Middle East by withdrawing troops from there when he did.

True, based on bad intelligence, Bush the junior's Fubar was to go into Iraq. At one point Bush forecast what would happen if we pulled out at some point with certain ongoing conditions there. Then, along comes POTUS Obama who totally ignores bush's warnings and everyone else's qualified opinion. The rise of Isis is on Obama, not Bush.

after 10 years of afghanistan the residents of the usa wanted out of wars. i can remember reading reports all the time regarding iraq and how obama said he would bring the troops home. they left them with plenty of weapons and training. they ran with there tail between their legs when it came time to fight. the responsibility is on iraq's military not obama.

the middle east wanted to fight. They didn't need a US soldier to start doing that.
The Arab spring happened in countries like Libya and Egypt. non occupied 'allies'.

I do think Western has had a big influence. especially in becoming a enemy or demon figure.
But don't discard the leaders there,
the push to democracy and the rejection of it,
the poverty,
the other wars like Sudan and Somalia,
Israeli occupation was still there,
Saudi influence, oil influence
and wahabi sjit sunni tribalism

retreating the soldiers but keeping the drones, has more to do with internal usa policy

Some more for the right wing tribe to ponder.

As I said, socialist isn't a bad word, unless you're a brainwashed circus chimp. We really need a 'monkey" emoticon. laugh

This is the only way forward, and just the beginning, but a necessary step in salvaging your country from what the corporations have done. Better now while you still have the opportunity, in the future you might not. Also better to do it while some countries still have some respect for you, albeit dwindling all the while. If Trump and Clinton are the best that you can come up with, you deserve what you get.

You really think the collective minds of Bush, Romney and the military are the best?

The last best minded leader of America was King George III, and he was certified mad!!!

American's will say anything to win. Or, more accurately, will say anything to make the other person lose. One American gainsaying and swindling another American whilst your lead in world dwindles away to nothing and the rest of the west drops down to mere developing world status under your leadership.

I wish it wasn't true but Americans lie like the most bitter, sneaky and cowardly losers there ever was. Greatest nation in the world is a completely untenable position for you.

We shouldn't lead in the world, ever. Our economy and currency could use a rest and recover. In the meantime, why doesn't Europe take a lead again? Let your taxes generate enough revenue to enable Europe to defend itself without outside assistance for a change and settle your own issues and develop your own energy sources.

I don't think that's on the table now. Or at least not for very long. We're not going to be able to fend off Chinese ambitions - Chinese equipped by Reagan and Thatcher at the behest of the new American approach to capitalism - or police all the fathers, sons and brothers of the muslims killed.

I expect a tetrarchy in future. A global power of 4. The baby boomer days of bountiful low-hanging fruit, global monopolies, and unparalleled ease of success for the west are over.

TheRedSquirrel87: The good point(if you can call it that)in having a lack of ideological diversity is that anarchy outranks revolution. You're much more likely to be stabbed by a drug dealer than hung by a communist. And the welfare state arises to plaster over this social decay in its primary purposes of crime insurance and riot prevention. And this is why you'd have to be disconnected to the point of autism to ditch the welfare state without any alternative plan for the poor.

Anyway, that's the irony in cultural diversity because it diminishes intellectual diversity. Basic conversation dies in multiculturalism as the manners and customs of expression become too diffuse to remain comprehensible. When norms are so diverse that a smile can be a come-on to one person and a taunt to the next reactions become impossible to predict. People shut down, conversation shrinks, resulting in a net loss of skills for the individual. From this arises myopic and onanistic individual surrounded by people just like him(although he'll never relate to them). Simply put: Personality dies in multiculturalism.

We're like the spiders. Spiders which are exposed to the same group of spiders everyday develop stronger and more distinctive personalities than those shifted from one set of spiders to the next. The homogeneous spider has more personality than the multicultural spider and this personality develops from better and stronger relations with the group of spiders at large.

And this is why middle class nerds are so keen on political correctness(in addition to the fact that pee-cee helps your career).

The nerd knows that he will never have the charisma and social intelligence to be popular and so therefore clings to the social status point that political correctness brings out of crying necessity. And over time political correctness will dumb down and confound social intelligence across the body of society until such time where the nerd no longer feels like a misfit: Everyone is a misfit in diversity and this is great news for misfits.

If you are uncomfortable in your own skin then you will very likely attempt to make the race uncomfortable in its own land.

Jews, for example, there's a reason why Jews on both sides of politics so commonly seek to promote social breakdown throughout the nation. The Jew and his inherent nerdiness, discomfort in his own skin, and at odds with the world mature makes him wish to live in a land at odds with itself. Exceptions exists.

And in steps Donald Trump. The man comfortable in his own skin to a fault. Society faces the complete opposite kind of danger with a man like Trump in charge.

Most of my chinese friends have the same opinion of Kim as those in the west, they also think the chinese government has enough internal problems without worrying about N. Korea.
I think Kim underestimates China, and what China would do if one of his missiles accidentally landed in this country.

There are two choices. Bernie Sanders, or Hillary Clinton. The republicans are a bunch of clowns because what they say is laughable! Some of the things that come out of their mouths are absurd. Banning all Muslims, building walls along the border, defunding Planned Parenthood, getting rid of gay marriage, just to name a few. God help us all if a republican wins the White House!

If I could vote, it would be Bernie Sanders, all the way, hands down. After viewing the other candidates, there really is no question, there is no other candidate.
