It's important. But it's not everything!! If you go into a relationship just because of that, then you're doomed.. There's gotta be much more!!

Sometimes if sex is really good, it can be negative in so much as, it can make couples hang in together when other things have died, like respect, and they've grown apart, or one has stopped really trying, so I think for s*xual people of course it is important. For those who are less physical, less s*xual, a loving, close relationship can be fulfilling. Each to their own.

Very important in an otherwise bad relationship, not so much in a good one

It is part of a relationship for me - a part I enjoy very much.

How important it is depends on the people involved - some place a higher importance on sex in their relationships than others. conversing

Extremely important. The relationship is on shaky ground when one or both don't want to have sex with the other. It's never just sex when a woman is involved.

Men are different. As horndogs sex is maybe more important in and of itself, but in a relationship? No. Two gay men would happily indulge in some emotionless dead relationship bumming as sex barely reflects on the relationship at all. It's just sex.

If sex wasn't more important to a woman in a relationship then they wouldn't have such a problem with him f*cking other girls. Love is selfish and that's why women aren't laid back about sex outside the relationship and it is why sex means so much more in a relationship.

Divorce the connection between love and sex(like the gays)and commitment, fidelity and monogamy become meaningless; enjoying sex with someone does not imply love or affection - it's just a human body to be used.

Sex is just a physical need and therefore different people have different needs...
You don't have to love someone to have great sex with him/her...
But if one is in a relationship and their needs don't meet, well, a problem is guarantied...

The good news for civilisation and dignity is that straight men learn the value of love and commitment through women. We too don't want them playing away from home just as they don't want us shagging their sister.

Yet left to our own devices men wouldn't pair-bond. If women thought, felt and acted like men then the world would be an orgy.

If two people are attracted t o each other there comes a time when normal arousal brings the shall we or shan't we question.

A man usually keeps trying until she says yes, so it's the woman who decides when.

Of course you can love someone without having sex a relative or friend.

But for others it's much more fun to do it.

And if you observe you will find that the few gay men who are big on commitment are absolute mummy's boys. Even they've picked up the idea of commitment from a woman only not in a healthy way that will apply to them.

Gay marriage is a farce as it is nothing more than gays trying to impersonate straights. It isn't true to who they are, it's them pretending to be straight again. Gay marriage is the institutionalised living of a lie.
