Considering how these fraudsters can spoof a telephone number, they have an endless supply of numbers that can't be traced back to them. Blocking doesn't do any good because they just get another number OR use words to show up on caller id.

Companies use all kinds of marketing ploys , in order to induce new custom, whether it be by phone ore mail or any another type of sales pitch..
Accept is as part of life but don't let it inconvenience you to the point of reacting negatively.

That is going on here as well.
Wha I do is not answering any number I do not know or have not in my contact list, including no-number displayed on the screen (private ones).
If for some reason I do answer some of those nuisances, i block them immediately.

I have so much with the scam callers etc.
One time when a scam caller had asked if the lady of the house was in I told them that she was out doing tricks.

I've read that some fraudulent callers can be downright rude or threatening. One even said they could never find him because he was calling from a prison. You'd think in this day and age something could be done. We've gone to the moon but can't fix the common telephone. Maybe it is too big a business like the tobacco industry. Where else can you market a product that is bad for your health. I guess getting into someone's home has become worth its weight in gold.

I received a fraudulent phone call several years ago -which was something really new at that time- good thing is that I was calm at first and later on I was upset then I just did not answer the calls from that number.
A couple of friends and one of my brothers received very nasty calls from scammers and the one that called my brother was trying to intimidate him at first ....until the criminal cut the call himself instead.
My recommendation is, cut the call immediately.
